THIS MATTER OF THE SOUL

As Dr. Douglas Baker points out in this lecture, one of the hardest things for a Westerner to grasp is the concept of the Soul. He addresses this issue of the Soul, the Higher Self, the Monad, God, by using a number of different analogies, some rather amusing. He points out in percentages the numbers of people on the planet actively pursuing spiritual growth and those still not aware; the differences as well as the similarities between them. He goes into depth regarding the I Am of human existence, as well as some of our history as humankind developing through different stages of physical or not so physical being, and including time spent on the Moon. The Hindu idea of the Wheel of Life is discussed as is karma, which leads to the question of whether all men are born equal. Finally, the discussion ends with the idea of the Souls Purpose and Esoteric Astrology as a key. (71 min., May 14, 2005)
